FAQs

Have a question about Mindspring? Take a look below for answers. If you still have questions, feel free to get in touch with us.

What funding can you use?
Our services can be accessed using NDIS funding. We accept self-managed, plan-managed, and NDIA-managed (agency-managed) plans. Supports may be delivered under relevant funding categories, including Improved Capacity Building and Improved Relationships. For further information or to discuss your funding options, please contact us at hello@mindspring.au.

Do you provide diagnostic assessments?
We do not offer formal diagnostic testing or provide medical diagnoses. However, our behaviour practitioners are trained to complete a range of assessments that explore developmental, behavioural, functional capacity, and emotional regulation needs across the lifespan. These assessments can support additional reporting and planning in a variety of settings, including education, employment, and community environments. They may also be used to provide evidence for the NDIS and to support collaboration with paediatricians, psychologists, and other allied health professionals. Importantly, they offer meaningful insight into individual strengths and barriers, helping to guide tailored and effective therapeutic intervention plans.

Do you provide services outside your current areas?
Yes, in some circumstances we are able to support participants outside our usual service locations. This is considered on a case-by-case basis and depends on practitioner availability and capacity to travel. We also offer telehealth services, allowing us to support participants across Australia.

How do you minimise travel expenses?
We make every effort to keep travel costs as low as possible for participants. While this is not always avoidable, we aim to reduce travel by scheduling participants within similar locations where feasible and offering telehealth options when appropriate. For example, meetings such as school or stakeholder reviews may be conducted via telehealth rather than in person, helping to minimise travel-related expenses.

Do you provide services to private clients or participants?

Yes, we offer services to members of the community who do not have an NDIS plan. Private clients are charged at the same rates as NDIS participants, ensuring a transparent, fair, and non-discriminatory pricing structure.

What age groups do you provide services to?

We provide services to individuals across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, and older people. Our supports are tailored to each person’s age, stage of life, and individual needs, ensuring a person-centred approach for every participant and client.

How do I make a referral and who can refer?

Referrals can be made by anyone, including individuals, family members, carers, support coordinators, schools, health professionals, and through self-referral. To make a referral, simply complete the referral form available on our website. Once received, our team will review the referral and contact you to discuss next steps and service availability.

What makes your service different from other NDIS providers?

Our service is built around a highly experienced, multidisciplinary team that delivers integrated psychosocial, behavioural, and capacity-building supports. As a small and dedicated team, we prioritise quality over volume, allowing us to take the time to truly understand each participant’s circumstances, strengths, and goals.

We offer an individualised, person-centred approach rather than a one-size-fits-all model. Our clinicians bring strong practical experience across mental health, psychosocial disability, and complex support needs, and our work is grounded in evidence-based practice and high-quality reporting that supports meaningful NDIS outcomes.

We place strong value on collaboration, working closely with participants, families, and support networks to ensure supports are realistic, respectful, and focused on long-term wellbeing, independence, and quality of life.
